Vita: Laurentius Dinca
LAURENTIUS DINCA born in Bucharest, studied at the
conservatories in Bucharest and Lubeck. Prize winner in
numerous international competitions: Tibor Varga (Sion),
Louis Spohr (Freiburg), Canales (Barcelona). From 1980-1984
concertmaster of the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra. Since 1984
first violinist in the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. First
violinist in the Philharmonic Virtuosi Berlin, touring the
entire world. He has also led the Atheneum String Quartet
Berlin since 1991 and the Philharmonisches String Octet Berlin
since 1995. Winner of the Viottis Prize. In 1992 received
the "Croce dell'ordine al Merito Melitense." Since 1995,
first violinist in the "Philharmonische Geigen Berlin".
He plays a violin made by Andreas Guarnierius.
